Hey there!
Hey there!
When I was 14, I decided to share my words and ideas with the world. With trepidation and a dream, I clicked 'publish' on my very first blog post.
I couldn't tell you what I wrote about or how many people read those long-forgotten words, but that moment sparked a dream; a dream to go on shaping words into ideas that contribute something beautiful to the world.
Throughout high-school and two gap years abroad, I continued to share my words off-and-on through my personal blog that transitioned through countless titles. A few of my favorites include, Pondering Prose, The Meaning of Written Words, and A Wanderer Wondering.
All along I would jump on any writing/editing opportunities that came my way. From leading a writing club at my local church and writing guest articles for my favorite websites, to crafting monthly/weekly newsletters for my missional sponsors and writing content for the website of the non-profit I served abroad.
I went on to obtain two Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Theology & Apologetics: Biblical Scholarship from Liberty University.
My pursuit of these degrees plummeted me into the world of academia and the throes of research and rhetoric, sparking a newfound love for critical analysis. The excitement of scouring historical records, manuscripts, and archives for clues to a newfound insight gave me such a thrill. The hours that followed synthesizing my discoveries to form and defend a thesis became my idea of a perfect day. Six years, one thesis, and two capstone projects later, I've become rather fond of academia and hope to pursue a career in it long-term as a professor and Bible scholar.
I am deeply passionate about Biblical literacy and teaching on the rich historical background of the Bible.
My time spent studying Scripture in-depth over the last 8 years has given me a profound appreciation for all God’s Word has to offer. Along with being a space to share my own creative writing and thoughts on life, I also plan to publish more “academic” insights gleaned from present and past research here on the blog.
